Summary

Advancements in AI-based Natural Language Understanding (NLU) has  eased the development of highly intelligent and interactive conversational chatbots.  Such chatbots are able to understand ‘user intent’ and steer the conversation in a direction that yields the best outcome.

Examples:

Call Centers:
Chatbots can address many of the caller’s requests such as providing account balances, order status, making appointments, scheduling service calls among many other tasks.

Informational Chatbots:
Enable customers to get answers to frequently asked questions or participate in automated surveys

Productivity Chatbots:
Enable employees to access various organizational information via interactive voice dialog (e.g. vacation days left, 401k options, list lookups, schedules . . .)
